National Do Not Call List (Get Rid of Those Annoying Telemarketers)
Re:National Do Not Call List (Get Rid of Those Annoying Telemarketers)
An engineer I used to work with said he would always ask for a return phone number from the caller so he could call them up at 3 AM to harass them. Don't know if he ever had any luck but I always liked the sentiment.

My brother and I have done telco/data installs for a certain phone bank for years. Among other things they contract to call people for is Nielson ratings, name brand surveys, clinical trial followups, and other stuff. Some of these they have permission to call and some are cold call. I have overheard some interesting converstaions while running cable in the cubes there. Wouldn't want the job they have but they are serious about closing the calls. Wonder if this DNC registry is going to affect that kind of activity? Might be losing that account if this kills their business.
I just want to go straight to the link. I don't want to use my work email to receive the link right now.
It uses the e-mail as sort of a verification. I think that's the only way to do it. It's only about a 5 second procedure. Just click the link in the e-mail....it pops up a window that confirms your registration and that's it.
