Name this tune

OK, I heard this song on the radio Saturday and I haven't been able to find it. It was on 106.1 out of Brenham and Bryan/College Station. It's about a guy driving a Ford and it breaks down on him, and he gets picked up by a girl in a Chevy. Here's part of the chorus.

F-O-R-D that's what I said
F-O-R-D Found On Road Dead
It'll pick you up and take you places you've never been
Like the parts store, the junkyard, and the hospital in the end

So if you're ever in one, you'd better be aware
That that F-O-R-D will break down and make you swear

I've searched high and low on the 'net, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Anyone else ever heard it or know anything about it?

Yep, they have a computer logging each and every record played.. You know, FCC/copyright law stuff. Give 'em the date and apprx time it was heard so they don't have to search too long through the database.

I have a feeling that if it came from 106.1 then it's a texas country song and you'll be hard pressed to find those online even though their about the only country worth listening to anymore.

B-CS area has some great country stations! I agree, 106.1 is very good.
Almost as good as C&J BBQ......

I much prefer 98.3. For pure texas country, 92.5 is the only station.

Just put on your flame suit and cruise on over to the Ford site and ask there. You can bet they've heard it and know who sang it and maybe even have a hit out on him.

Although I'm not a CM guy, I did bow my head and payrespect to the passing of Buck Owens this weekend. A true gentleman of country music.

I believe it was the late great Chris Ledoux that said "Even cowboys like a little rock and roll".

What's that new one from Willie Nelson? Cowboys are frequently secretly fond of each other.

I'll have to check on my computer when I get home. I think I have a copy of that there. Can't remember who sings it, but funny as all get out.
