My prissy Dodge

Cattle Haulers Wife here.....I am planning on getting a dodge for a play toy. I want the stacks and all. The only thing, I can't figure out what color I want. I really like purple or would that just look stupid? Remember I am a woman so I don't want to look like some man going down the road. Look what he's done to this city girl! I just can't help it if I love the sound of a very loud truck and a little smoke!

[glow=purple, 2, 300]LITTLE MAMMA'S PLAY THING[/glow]

If you like purple, get purple. You gotta live with it and like it. If it makes you happy to walk out the door and see it, well and good. I personally like the dark green and ,lo and behold, I actually managed to find one in that color. I was afraid I'd have to settle for white, which makes 'em all look like service trucks to me and I don't like it. Purely personal, no real good reason.
You can always find someone that won't like whatever it is, so what?

Good luck,
Rob

Yeah, I don't care what people think of the color actually because if they don't like it then they don't have to look. ;D
[quote author=blackboat link=board=10;threadid=9653;start=0#92214 date=1042607807]
If you like purple, get purple. Well Mam, you and me is in the same boat. I'm waitin to sell my Ford so I can get my first Cummins, also a 12v.

I agree, if you like purple, get purple. You'd probably have a hard time finding one though. Personaly, I think a purple Cummins with chrome stacks and chrome or posished alum. wheels and a woman driver would be one of the hotest things on the road!

I also agree that white makes a truck look too much like a service truck. My past 4 vehicles have all been white (purely by chance) and I'm kinda sick of it. I'd realy like to find a red, blue, or green 3500.

Re:My prissy Dodge

Mrs. CH, as others have said, buy the color that pleases you. I was in the situation you are now going through when I placed the order for my 96. After giving thought to it being used with truck campers and fifth wheel rv I decided to go with white since there would be less color clashing. I can only suggest you factor in how it will be used and what color fills your desires and needs.

Don't let your new LOUD truck with stacks and belching black smoke harm the marriage. I can see the fights about which of your trucks will get the big power upgrade or whose trucks can put out the most smoke. CH, suggest you get all your upgrades before she picks up her new toy.

Re:My prissy Dodge

well, i have a friend up here in Iowa that might have his 95 for sale. It needs alot of bodywork though. It isnt wrecked, its just that he uses it... alot.. and he isnt the most carful person around his farm. but it is a 3/4 ton, regular-cab, 4x4, with an auto and a lota dents. i think it has close to 200,000 miles on it, but i think he would take 4500 for it. just because he needs the money, and i am trying to talk him into selling it just for the fact he don't deserve it ,the way he treats it. oh yeah, its blue and it is a 12-valver. You could pick it up on your way from soix city to waterloo when your getting C.H.;s trailer!! ;D ;D

Re:My prissy Dodge

I almost bought a purple Dodge, then I seen this Intense blue color in the brochure and order it instead. I always thought the purple looked pretty good, just thought that after 4 or 5 years I'd get tired of looking at a purple truck.

I still think a chromed out purple 2500 would look pretty good.

Good luck.

DB

One thing to remember, the darker the color, the harder is is to keep looking clean and the more you gotta wash it. That's one reason I chose the silver or whatever they call it. Buy what you like, you gotta like it, no one else does.
Don't know if you rememeber me or not but I was there at the last round up. CH knows where the pics of mine are.

Re:My prissy Dodge

One option that may be cheaper than having an entir truck repainted id to opt for a black, white, or silver truck and some nice purple graphics added. I have seen a black Chevy with all of the original badging removed and replaced with purple graphics and air brushing and it looks reaally good. Just an option.
