My Flags

The Stars and Stripes represents the country that I love.

The Marine Corp flag represents my Nephew Josh, who is in Iraq, and my Sisters step-son, Shane, who is in Afghanistan. The Army flag represents my Brother-in-Law, Dave, who is back from a year in Iraq.

Too bad my little pole is not big enough for the Lone Star, but it is hanging on my corral fence.

I think that you need to get some lights on those babies... That way you wouldn't have to haul them down every day...

You also need a bigger pole. I don't think that the bottom flag can be hung below half-staff? Preferrably you could get a pole with a red light on the top that goes BLINK... BLINK... BLINK...

And good move putting the Marine Corps flag above the Calvery flag...

That pole looks a little bent, askew, cockeyed.

Time for a new taller one, maybe two, then you can fly all the flags no problem.

Yes, throw some lights out there so you can fly them all night long.

There is a light on them when they are up at night.

Yes, the pole is a little cockeyed.
The ground around the concrete base has shrunk in the heat, and the high winds that day really put a strain on the little bugger.
This is my place in the country and the flags only fly when I'm there.

FYI.....When Dave was in Iraq, the 1st Cav flag was in the middle.

Looks good! I'm proud of them too, just don't happen to have a Seal in the family.

You wish it were more common place??????????!!!!!!!! I fly the Canadian and American flags on my house in Calgary Alberta Canada. I think I've seen Maybe 3 or 4 houses total in the entire city with even a Canadian flag on it. FREEDOM ISN'T FREE, our government just thinks it can borrow it from you guys. God bless the USA.

Got the materials rounded up to build me and momma a flagpole. Will be flying Old Glory, USAF, and USCG for sure. Thinking about doing multiple poles as would love to fly the MIA/POW also.

It saddens me to see the disregard shown to the flags. I work on a Military base, and have noticed that retreats are almost completely disregarded. I tried to get the command staff to host a retiree retreat. No luck.

Thanks for the pics.
