i use Ares. When you use Kazaa you get songs with that screeching noise in them. ares has none of that. always fast downloads too.

i recently installed limewire. seems to be working well... less failed downloads than kazaa...

if you search around limewire, you might find my 2003 [77mb] and 2004 [84mb] dodge ram service manuals to download...

Been using winMX for 4yrs - no viruses. Heard bad things about Kazza and viruses... May have to try more than once to get your song on winMX - like Napster before they shut it down. Best of all it's FREE!!!

I tried Morpheus, it came loaded with spyware. Got rid of it but kept coming back. I also picked up a virus, not sure if it came from Morpheus or not but I am thinking it did. Kazaa just sucks, I had the same problems with it.

The problem with "shared" MP3's is the lack of quality. I sometimes had to download 10 versions of the same song to get one without errors. I have moved to something much much better now! Allofmp3.com is a music store in the old Mother Russia which sells MP3's for $0.01 / MegaByte meaning an album may cost you ~$1 or so. The nice thing is that you can chose whatever format you want (MP3 - MPEG-1 Layer 3, WMA - Windows Media Audio, OGG - Ogg Vorbis, MPC - MusePack, AAC - MPEG-4 AAC, etc.) and whatever bitrate you want all the way up to the original CD file (lossless). By choosing the file format and the bitrate, you choose the quality of the files you want. Its pretty cool. I recommend scrolling to the bottom of the page and downloading their explorer. It makes downloading and finding music really easy. Try it out!

No kidding, been quite a while since I have seen this.

I would reccomend Itunes or the new Napster.
