Mother-in-law passed away
Mother-in-law passed away
On Sunday morning, March 25, 2007, my wifes mother passed away in her sleep. It was not totally unexpected, but it was still hard to take.
Today, my wife came upstairs with tears in her eyes and hands me a printed email from our youngest son, a freshman at Oklahoma Baptist University. I got tears in my eyes when I read it and am getting tears now while writing this.
This is kinda long, but he wrote a poem about his grandmother
My Grandmother
My grandma was lovely
My grandma was great
My grandma was love
She was better then a 98
I loved seeing her smile
It could brighten up the room
No matter where you were
You could be there with a voom
Being around her made my life better
I that it would have made anyone
I wish I could see her one more time
But she is up in Heaven, she is gone
My grandma is up in Heaven
I have no doubt about it
She is up there singing to God
I don't think she liked to knit
Man this is rough
I really don't know what to say
Grandma I miss you
Why did you have to go away?
I don't like it that you're gone
But I know your in a better place
Worshipping God up in Heaven
Singing to him AMAZING GRACE
Up in Heaven
You're no longer sick
You're happier then ever
I'm glad you were one of God's picks
How I miss you
Since you have left
But I can still fell you
I wouldn't consider it a theft
I know you're better off
You don't have to worry
About anything on Earth
There is no longer any hurry
I know you're watching everyone now
Being happy with our God
No more doubt, no more worries
I heard with a great sigh and nod
I wanted to be at the funeral
But it was better that I was not
I want to remember the happy times
like smiles and gifts you got
I think I will be alreight
Cause I know you're better off
No worries, you're no longer sick
No more diabetes, not eve a cough
Grandma, you're amazing
I love you so much
I want to give you a hug
A bunch and a bunch and a bunch
Thank you for taking time to read this poem written by my youngest son, his first ever.

God already blessed your family with the gift of Mom, Grandma, MIL.
My wish to you is God comfort and be with your family in this, your time of loss.
I'd be bummed too if I lost my MIL. I'm one of the few that really likes his.
Sorry brother.
