Never a good idea to take a shortcut with Low-boy......especially when the weather is turning all the roads and parking lots to hot mopped ice rinks.

Putting the chains on only made it worse by digging the drive wheels deeper and further cementing the trailer to the ground. Rear axle of the trailer on the far side had the wheels off the ground.

Y'know, whenever I see this thread and your name appears, I always think, "Oh no, what'd he do NOW?"

The first thing he shoulda tried was unlocking the neck and letting it stretch out, thus raising the front of the deck, and possibly landing the trailer tires back on terra (or ice) firma. It would have also given him a little running start to jerk it over the hump.

I couldn't get a pic or video of this, but on the way in this morning, I got beside a home made trailer. It had 4 different size tires on it and only two would touch the ground. The two that didn't would hit the high spots in the road and spin freely, but they were so out of balance, and the trailer had so much flex in it, it looked like it was gonna self destruct. It was making the truck that was pulling it shake pretty good too. Surely the driver had to be hoping that it wouldn't be on Youtube before the end of the day.

Ford Towing FAIL

So I'm putting along the city 60mph posted speed limit, look in my rearview mirror, see this jacked up Ford blowing tons of black smoke up this hill, I'm like whats up with that dude, it was constant nonstop, the cars behind him disappeared.

Boy, now hes coming up fast, I mean hes rolln the coal, wow, and trailer in tow I see. Can hear that Straight pipe, sounds like WOT next to my window up. We get to a level spot, I can barely get my smartphone going to capture the moment.

Excessive speed, at least 73-75 (in city limits mind you), ZERO chains, straps. I'm like whoa!!! Guys gonna kill someone!

WTH, that thing weighs atleast 8000lbs, trailer 2500lbs????? Sure makes the rest of us look bad, blown' smoke, wreckless. If that thing flew off there, it would kill someone instantly. I just don't get some people!!!

Here I am overkill when I tow, 4 chains, and 1 chain over bucket, go slow, stay in right lane. Man thats frustrating to watch people like this!!!

FORD FAIL - Should be ticketed none the less to!!

As far as I can remember from my bobcat training I think the bobcat is loaded on the trailer wrong too. Supposed to be backed on. Kind of a safety thing but whos counting on that load.

It does not matter as long as you secure it.

I hope he melts a piston.

Also, the weight isn't over the axles.
