Monster Jam, Jacksonville FLA

Is anyone attending the Monster Jam show in Jacksonville Fl on 2/26. I plan on pulling the 5'er down from NY and camping someplace local. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to camp around NE Florida.

Thanks
John

I too will be at the Monster Jam. On US 1 between Hilliard and Callahan just north of Jax is a pretty nice campground. Make sure you fill up with diesel before you get here though $2+ a gallon.

There is a nice inexpensive city park with full hookups out on Jax beach by Mayport Naval center. It has access to the beach and is quite a large area. The personel are extremely friendly. Some of the sites are a little tight, but heavily tread. It took my 36' fiver fine. It is called Hanna Park. It is a little drive into town on good roads. Nice area, very clean, and handy to food, etc. 1-904-249-2316 - - page 597 in 2004 Trailer Life Campground guide with ad on page 601.

I dont know if my 5 and 7 year old will be able to do NY to FL in one shot. I may plan a stop some where in North or South Carolina. Can anyone recommend a place to setup camp for one night halfway. Something convienient to I-95.

If I leave when the kids go to sleep, I may be able to pull it off nonstop, but that may not happen.

Bob, thanks for the campground tip. I booked 4 nights with them. Looks like a nice place. Since you were so kind, I'll let you stop by and look at my brakesmart. Maybe even touch it.

You be sure and drive carefully with that BrakeDumb. I have heard some really strange people use them.
