Missing Mule

STOLEN from my front yard at 4:30am 2-19-09. The thieves woke 2 sets of my neighbors who upon realizing what was happening called me but it was too late to catch them. The thieves did leave both halves of the MASTER lock that was holding the mule to the tree.

This Mule had recently devoloped the problem of overheating at random times. I hope it overheats and leaves a thief stranded somewhere......

Exactly what i was thinking. Sorry to hear that man. We have had a quad stolen right off or our back porch before. Really ticks a guy off dont it. Bad thing was some of our friends drove by while it was being stolen! We talked to them later and they said that they just though we were letting someone borrow it. Luckily they saw the truck and the guys so we could file a report. I would tell you to file a police report but it dont help. When we filed one they told us chances of recovering it were slim to none. Once again really sorry to hear about your loss.

We called the sherrifs dept asap, a deputy was here in about 20 min. (quick considering that not many were on shift that night) Pictures were taken report filed. The VIN number is on the national regristry for stolens.

We called the local Kawasaki dealer to see if there is a dealer regristry for stolens. We were told that they never look at the vin when working on one. My thought was someone may try to have the overheat problem fixed.

My guess is it will probably be found in a drug bust sometime in the distant future when some druggie trades it for a ??????

Insurance has been a dissapointment. The mule is on my business policy. I had to declare a value on it. They have been charging me based on that value for 4 years. Now that it is time for them to step to the plate, all I hear is blue book value (base machine about a grand less than that value I set). I asked about the upgrades (bed lift, basket, top etc..). The adjuster sent a list over and said to circle the ones that apply. Sidecar, Farring, Saddlebags and the list goes on. Obviously he thinks it is a motorcycle. Then they deduct the deductable. I am still in my "Be nice" mode for a while yet.

If a 2510 with a overheating problem shows up, PM me. Thanks
