The instructions just confuse me... they are in 15 different languages anyways.

One more note......... if you have parts left over , have your wife test it first.

When I'm asked by a woman why I don't use instructions I say "It's the same reason I'm putting this together and not you" That stops any further nagging.

Wiring the new stuff up has never been a problem for me.
It's finding something worth watching after it's all been hooked up that's always been my Achilles heel.

Yea, I just cut like 100 channels and $50 off my dish bill. TV is getting pointless. I watch like 10 channels and thats it.

I'm thinking about it.
It would have to be totally programable.

All my remotes are "universal", but they can never seem to do one important function on the equipment they didn't come with, so I always need the original around.

I'm thinking about something from the Logitech Harmony line perhaps.

This is the best universal remote ever. LOOK

If you look on pricegrabber.com the cheapest is about $89 and the most is about $300. These will controll anything. Before you get one take the "test drive" and make sure all of your devices are supported.

Just ordered me one, $79 after rebate, the 880.
Did the test drive, just not sure if it will do the DirecTivo and HD Tivo at the same time, as the test drive didn't have an option for multiple Satellite recievers.

After you receive it and try programming it, let us know if you fit the scene in the cartoon.
I see that there have been many readers of this thread, but few replies. Come on guys, don't be proud, admit it, many of you don't know which is the sharp end on a screwdriver.
