Men, can you relate to this?

Just took a look at something and then wondered how many men on DTR can relate to this scenario? Be honest now - or ask your wife/girlfriend.

Give him a break. He's learning how to be a "kinder, gentler" MStan.

I always read the instructions, after I assemble it.

I wouldn't quite know his scenario cause I don't own a big screen T.V.(not yet anyways) But yes, when it comes to electricity i'm worth 2 shakes to the wind. If I can't see it, I don't mess w/ it.

Well, Im still watching my 15 year old 24" GE tv that has a cable plug and a power plug. There is no surround sound, DVD, VCR, Laser disk, or anything else attached to it.

On the ohter hand, my computer comes with 5.1, two dvd drives, two cd burners, and enough copper behind my desk to fund a small nation. Wiring is somthing that doesn't bother me, however, after I got a laptop from work, I kinda like being wireless and haven't used my computer near as much.

No, I can't relate to it at all.

I've never felt that way about anything.

I'm in the process of making the move to HDTV,
yes I can relate.

Many sleepless nights wondering how I'm going to hook everything up to the new TV when it gets here next week.

Tivo, DirecTivo, DirecTV-HD-Tivo, DVD player, DVD Recorder and Playstation all expected to be watched on the new TV and heard through the Surround Sound system, and be operated by a teenager and a pre-teen.
Push this button, switch this to input "A", this to input "B", put the TV on input 4,
then find the remote in the pile of 7 to turn up the sound.

Is it CRT?

It's predicted that people who experience large doses of radiation from prolonged exposure to CRT monitors will be far more capable of survivng post-apocolyptic nuclear fallout then their LCD-using brethren.

If that's true, the cockroaches living on my desk could probably live off of californium and plutonium cookies. Gamma rays be damned!

Universal remote. Best 300 bucks I ever spent. Press 1 button for dvd, one for this, one for that. Got rid of 8 remotes in the great room. It took 6 beers to program it.
