Mapping/driving website's or program's

I need to find something like mapquest that will give me driving direction's, plus the mile's traveled in each state. I don't mind buying software if I have to. I can't seem to find what I want for free. Anyone have any idea's. Thanks.

Do you want this for commercial use. Reason I asked is because we need mileage per state for road taxes.
if so here is one I've seen before

Bingo. I need it to figure out my ifta. I could use the ifta form's., and just use something that told me the mile's in each state.

What I'm wanting is to type in my trip, and get the direction's, and milage. I think you know what I'm after. I'll check that one out. Thank's.

I couldn't call to unlock the free trial. What I was able to see didn't give door to door direction's. It just gave city to city. I don't know if the actual program would be differant or not.

If you wouldn't mind calling your friend,,,,ask him what he use's. Thank's.

Garmin, Delorme and Microsoft sell mapping software that offer the same kind of features as Mapquest. Keep it on your laptop in the truck if need be.

Yeah, they do have a price, but you could write if off.

If you have a GPS, you can use those same programs to load your trips into it, or record your miles on each trip, etc etc etc...

I really like Microsoft's Streets and Trips. Especially the one w/ the little GPS that sits on the dash while plugged into the laptop. It will give you a breakdown of state-by-state miles and even door-to-door directions.

I have purchased several items throught these people. "Nothingbutsoftware"

There's a link to Streets and Trips, both with and without the GPS.

So far I have not found anything that will give both door to door direction's,,AND the mile's traveled in each state.

The one's geared toward's trucker's dosn't give door to door.

Jaxom. What version do you have. Mine is 04. Maybe the newer version is better.

I have MS Streets and Trips 2006, I checked it out and using the route planner it tells you at how many miles into your journey you enter another state. You would hust have to do simple subtraction to figure how many miles in each state. Think its time you upgrade, and yea the little GPS thingy that comes with it is pretty nice too, it will even read out the directions to you!
