The Man

After reading many threads on here I see there is a strong christian community here and I have recently seen some power of prayer and god reaching out to me through people to get me more christ centered. I just wanted to express the awsome feelings I get from knowing christ and seeing others expressions of faith on here. thank you for your time and god bless

Yeah, it's great to see that a bunch of hard heads like us can still take time and aknowledge "The Man" our god, the creator of all things. After all, if it wasn't for him in the first place, you wouldn't be driving that $40,000 vehicle, much less even be alive!

I would like to acknowledge that fact too!! This is a clean site and I appreciate the fact that it is, and I know the statement that if all would seek him it would be a better world is true,we that do just have to keep on praying for those that don't. Godbless all who frequent here and do seek the Lord, as I can personaly state that he has made my life so much easier if I just let him lead and not my stubborn self since I let him in. Rick

Hats off to the guys that run this site. I occasionally wander around on a Dakota site and the place is just filthy with the stuff "some" of the people are allowed to post on it without repercussions. It is nice to be able to make a statement of faith without being slandered or ridiculed. Good bunch of Guys here.

Thanks Randy, we appreciate the kind words.

You'd be surprised at the number of (ex)members who complain that we're the "Internet *****" 'cuz we prefer to run a clean, family oriented site.

We must be doing something right as we're growing faster than Jack can upgrade the system.

Have a great DTR day.

Ed

I love the Lord......and I love this site, for all the reasons that others have already expressed here. What other site can you go to, who's focus is something like diesel trucks, where you can express the thoughts that you can here? Where else can you go and not have to suffer through the foul language, negative thoughts, and flaming that are so prevalent on other sites? I consider many of those who hang out here my friends, even though I have only met a handfull face to face.

What a unique and special place this is! And I really mean it.

Now, where's that collection plate, FiverBob?

I'm with the rest of you! It's great to discuss things with others who have common interests. It's nice to know that these common interests don't end at our CTD. God Bless you all!

Have not had time to check in to DTR lately but when I did a few minutes ago it was nice to see this thread. I am very proud (and humble at the same time) to be called a born again Christian and want to tell everyone about Jesus Christ every chance I get, just as the scriptures instructed us to do. I am well aware that this is a truck site but Jack has had the foresight to give us the "other" site where us Christians can make contact. Yes, at times some of the religious threads have got a little hairy and they have had to be shut down. Whilst I do not like that I do appreciate the fact that it is a way to control the various threads and keep them clean. As has been stated already, some other sites are not very nice. I very much appreciate the fact that I can at times introduce a non truck thread such a Christianity and use it to spread the gospel on this great truck site. Some of the non-Christians may not like it but that is one of the great things about DTR as we can openly and cleanly discuss our differences. It is only when someone gets upset and does not follow the site rules that things get nasty. I am not going to apologize for introducing some of the more controversial threads here as it has been used a tool to try and get the non-believers, the unsaved, to see the truth before it is too late. Thanks Jack and the mods for giving me and others the opportunity to say something about such a vitally important subject.
Nice to see so many Christians as members of DTR. Hope to see many more here soon.

FiverBob, I want half of that offering.

Thumbs up

I have been reading this board for a lot longer than I have been posting, but I am quite amazed at the variety of people that are involved here. I wish the people in the area I live had half of the personality of some of these guys do. Lots of the regulars seem to be really great people, IE: going out of their way to help someone weather it be running out in the cold to snap a picture to illustrate something, or going out to meet someone when they are passing through town and buying them lunch. Truely amazing...

I was also pleased to see this thread. Go to a ricer forum and look for something like this. I bet the only time you see the word God is follwed by profanity. Jack has truely created an awesome place here, and had top notch guys running it.

By the way, it looks like you have been beat on passing the offering around....

I feel the need to weigh in here as well.

God has wrought all kinds of good things in my life, and I have to admit that I have not always been good at acknowledging that. My fault. He is the reason I am here, and by His grace I am able to see, hear, taste, smell, and love my family and friends.

I also have to commend the "higher ups" here for keeping this site clean and friendly. I have been to many discussion boards, and find myself getting fed up reading the nasty language on them. Why can't you just say what you have to say without cussing all the time?

And as for the people on here....I would be glad to buy dinner for anyone of them. Just reading, they seem like good people to be around.
