Magnetic fuel conditoners

My wife went to a garage sale last weekend and bought four of these things for practically nothing . Do these things actually help ? Would it be worth trying one? Looks like it is about 8`` long , with a 3/8`` line going through it, with compression fittings on both ends.

Thats kinda what I thought, she paid a dollar a piece. When she was looking at them she called and told me it was diesel fuel conditioner, I thought it was the liquid kind. Thanks for the replies.

Who knows! They may be worth more than a buck on e-Bay. Heck if someone will pay $37K for renting a Nebraska kids forehead for a month who knows what those magnets are worth!

HOLY COW AND WOW, YOU FOUND FUEL LINE MAGNETS? I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THOSE FOR YEARS!!!

Now that I've said that and got your attention, yes, they are worth something (to the people that sold them).

I don't agree, JMZ said he got it for practically nothing and the fuel magnets have no benefits.

Well, if it will work stick the magnets on your oil filter. Probably do more good there anyway.

I guess since we are on the subject I like to take rare earth magnets and stick them to the oil pan / cover on all fluid containing objects. They are very strong and seem to help pull a little metal down from time to time.

Oh they should all work equally well.

Judging by the lovely hairstyles and glasses that is before my time.

The only possible benefit would be if you had rust or steel/iron particles in your fuel. But then that's what the fuel filter is for. Otherwise there is no possible benefit at all.

Neither do magnets on you body or in your bed. The entire earth is a magnet and we are in a magnetic field constantly. If it had any effect it would have happened by now.

It always pees me off whenever I see this kind of crap advertized. It's all snake oil!

However I do have some very fine magic stickers which will improve your fuel economy by 30%! Only $14.95 each. No checks please, cash only.
