Evenin' All!
I'm back home from the Inlaw's and wound up straight back in prison...
Some people never learn I guess.......
Had a good visit with the inlaws last week ands made it home last night. I got a few pics I'll dig up later from some of our simpl adventures down in the Mat-Su Borough.
I haven't been back through the breakroom pages yet but I hope everyone is doing well.
Fresh pot of #2 for the night crew is on the burner trying not to explode.( I made it a bit strong
)
Oh BTW for some interesting news on my job read this. http://www.ktva.com/ci_12464363 There's a lot more to it than is written but this is one of the better articles on the subject.

Good advice...
Hey, buddy.
Marc, I hope that gets ironed out. Hopefully, Sara is not involved...
Evenin, DTR. Man, I took me a nice nap, went and ate some chow, got a new book and a couple of movies from the library, and I'm gonna go to the gym in a bit. Good times.

Morning all. Finished up last night at 1130. Darn good essay.
School today, then picking some new sneakers up from the store(I destroy every pair of shoes that touch my feet) then home to start surgery on the knife.
This weekends agenda: Switch to my SRW axle, change vaccum pump seal, remove dually fenders, stacks on?, shocks on, leveling kit on, bed repair and some other junk.
MIke

Morning All,
One question, at the risk of receiving a bit of flack and looking like the total "NOOB" that I am, what exactly is PH00...
Excitedly looking forward to Sunday, when Im gonna pull the scoot outa the shed, wash her down and put my nose to the wind. Been long over due... (Stupid thing called work!)
Now as bonified Doctorate PHD'd World Famous, Internationally Known, Cross Country Mainline Downhill First Class Pipeliner, with a minor in Offshore-eology I was raised on Lincoln, infact if you even showed up on the Right Of Way with a Miller you busted... no test needed. I was taught to burn em at around eight years old on a 72 model Lincoln 200 'Redface' "Miller Killer" and all that being said.... Miller is where its at when you go MIG.
Just a little background for me... I work as a Welding Inspector, I actually hold a CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) credential. I am working on a project for Denbury Resources call the Green Pipeline Project and its a 24" Carbon Dioxide line that runs from Donaldsonville, LA to south of Houston, TX bout 360 miles. My spread is spread 2 which runs for 15 miles through the Atchafalaya Basin, some of the roughest swampland in the state. I working as the Chief Welding Inspector on this spread and I am currently sitting in my office BSing on here instead of working... Man I love my job....

What is "PHOO"?
It kinda depends on who makes it, how long it's been sitting and wether or not it was made with depends or socks.

Blake, that has to be a heck of a job... I have always wanted to go to a welding school, I can make two pieces of metal stick together, but I'm not educated on it.
Ph00... you need a little background. As far back as I can remember here in the breakroom... (once upon a time) Scott (chaikwa) used to be (and still is) the 'janitor' for the breakroom. He made his special blend of coffee for us, the kind that, when spilled, needs immediate hazmat support from 3 different counties to support the cleanup.
FiverBob is not a big fan of this stuff, so he brings in his almond mocha latte hazlenut cinabon chocolate swirl... (you get the picture) We start calling it foo foo coffee, and our friendly (if you have food) janitor named it Ph00. (there's the story behind that)
Claude (old dog) brings in the hot tea, and Matt (Bluethreequatrer) likes sweet iced tea. (as do I, but I'm a special Scott blend drinker in the am)
Hope that helps out a little. Welcome to the club.

Well that clears up a lot, seems like the foo foo coffee would not be for me, anyone within a hundred miles of South Louisiana knows there is only one kind of coffee... Community, and brewed strong enough to melt the spoon.
Seems like Matt and I would get along, as I am a sweet tea addict.
I do love my job, its fun and quite frankly pays very well. I get to travel a lot and see many different people and learn many different things. I was taught by my dad what I know, welding and inspection wise. He is a giant in the circles I run and I have very big boots to fill. My only regret with this job is that I'm away from home 90 percent of the time and don't get to see my wife (Chauntel) and son (Aiden) as much as Id like to, but, its a necessary evil in my book.
I did try to get away from the oilfield for a while and worked for almost 5 years at the Vermilion Parish Sheriffs Office (my home parish) but left cause I was pretty much starving to death trying to support my wife and son. I resigned as a Shift Commander with the rank of Lieutenant. I remained on the reserves for three years but resigned that position so that my little brother could work full time for them when he returned home from his 4 years service in the Marine Corps, which included 2 tours in Iraq.
Mad, and all our servicemen here past and present, I just want to personally thank you for your service, it is always appreciated.
Sorry bout the lengthy post, just sharing a little bout myself.
