Bark, that sounds good.

Jeff, good to see you. I have been wondering about Bla... I forgot he was there...

Poor JB had a headache. I was just about to start turning on the heat with the kegerator.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't think I could have done another night of that crap.

Ok, off to bed in a few. Gotta take some pain meds and go nighty. I need my beauty sleep...

Well guys and gals,
I think it is official, we are as bent as the rest of you. After very local beef and corn, we turned on the old tunes and then we went eclectic - Johnny Horton - Carpenters - Eagles - Savage Garden - Shrek Soundtrack - Eagles.
That is how we roll in Alberta after a glass/bottle or two/three of wine....
I might actually it in with the rest of you after all - like good food, good times, good liquor and good trucks (and most importantly a good wife)

Evenin' all!
Been working my back side off lately and haven't had any spare time to stop in.

Summer is about done up here but September is turning out to be quite nice. Nice enough that I played hooky from work today. Had some work to finish up and today turned out to be the day.... Had a fuel leak on the truck and an oil leak or two so off came the IP and lifter cover for reseal.... Went off without too much trouble. Should go faster now too......

Neighbor kid helped out. He's interested in turning wrenches so I let him reach all the PITA bolts.... He hung on all the way to the end without complaint... Kinda nice to see that in a 17yo these days.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?

Morning.

Some crazy turned on his lawnmower at 654am. Not. Cool. Oh, our cover for our bbq grill is gone somewhere. It either blew off during the night (how did I not hear those wind gusts?) or some thief has really low self confidence. It's probably across the yard.

Last night when we were on the deck a possum ran up to DH and scared him half to death. I laughed then chased the thing across the yard, It was a younger thing, it was more interesting in running than hissing and fighting.

Hope everyone is in one piece

"The next step: trying to talk to the bats".

The next step didn’t help me at all.... I took the fishing gear I needed to put away out to the shed. I talked to the shed before I opened the door. I talked to the invisible bats when I turned on the light. The dang things came out of everywhere just like before (ok, there are only two or three but they are fast).

Following your advice,
I attempted to squeal "I’m not going to hurt you" in a high pitched voice so the bats would understand me. To a bystander it may have sounded like Iiiiyaaaaammmggggggwwannnaahuurrrttyyaaaggg but I am sure the bats understood me. They continued to swirl around the light bulbs and poop on the snow machine. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...0&d=1314600055 There really is bat poop on it but I can’t get close enough to photograph it.

Now I have to remove a treble hook from my thigh. Ok, not really but I do have a bruise on my shoulder from missing the doorway.
That's flipping funny, glad I was finished with my coffee. Ah Bark........you did remember that you have to talk to them in their language, not ours. click click, click clicky click etc.

Thought you guys might enjoy this.

Ohhhh My aching back

Finished rebuilding my 518, Bolted it up and dropped it in. I mated a 518 to a 413 on my 62 Chrysler
First, lots of cars in that spread that I've had the chance to put my hands on. My dad used to buy retired highway patrol cars. FUN!!! Second, I didn't know a 518 would bolt to the back of a 413. IIRC, that would also mean 383 and 440 should make the list. Interesting.....

Wa wa waaaaaa....Sleep in when you're dead. As far as the opossum. Now my question is, what would it have looked like had the opossum decided to turn and fight about halfway across the yard. You'd have to call Bark and borrow some bat brakes.

Sorry I've been MIA, been too busy getting screwed by these fine folks, Fair Nation. http://www.fairnation.com/ Should you ever have the opportunity to do business with them, money up front where ever you can and everything in writing. In my world, most things are done on a handshake because I normally deal with honorable people, unfortunately, these people are not.

Morning all!

Feeling great this morning. Had me some madhat coffee. I don't think I could have done two nights in a row of epic drinking. Getting ready for some more of Angie's excellent culinary skills.

The hat and I are going to do some running around here today. Going to head back to Phoenix later on and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Later alL!

Hey Josh, next time you try to match him, make him give you the smaller mug. I can't believe you fell for that old date night trick.

Nooner all, lunch munch time.
Prolly a sammich and 'tater salad. Not creative now. Gonna do beef ribs for dinner, finish them on the grill.

Hat, JB and Uncle Bud, wild combination.

Shorts, 0654 is already rise and shine time. Wind here also. Blew the plastic shed apart. Have to put it back together. Wonder if super glue would hold it.
Neighbor tossed the roof back in our yard.

Yesterday got the garage door opener to work on the Nissan. Got it programed in Wheee.

Had coffee and trivia fix.

Later.

Have a good Holiday. Be safe out there.

Ah well. It was all in good fun. He didn't force anything on me. Other than another beer. And another. And another.
