Loooooong Night

We've been getting LOTS of rain for a few days now. Well @ 2 am this morning some friends called and said their 19 year old daughter had hydroplaned and was in the ditch in 3' of water on a county road. I get up and rush down. Attempted to winch out, but truck appeared to want to turn over on steep bank. Called friend with a wrecker. He got it out but motor has water in it. He towed it to their house (my neighbors). I got get back in bed. Knock on door. Wreckers buried in their front yard. I cant get traction to pull him and he drags me with his winch. Nothing else to winch to. He ask me to ****** him a little. Second time he started moving and came out. "He said I won't tell no one that Dodge would't pull my Furd out if you won't tell my furd (05 4x4) got stuck" I said "man I been asleep all night".

Talking yep! been there a few......

my '96 Dodge 2 wheeler half ton with BFGoodrich tires mud & snows, got to more places than a neighbor's chevy 4x4 ...... my 04 CTD one ton, with dump and 4x4 with stock michelins got stuck in his level grass yard after unloading some mulch .......... he came out with a camera....$%^^&*!

traction, baby, traction! I had a towing business for ten years and used to carry Vietnam tracks or steel plates with slots and crimps. have to say it was a 70's Ford 4x4 with granny gears that never got stuck in snow or ice
at the ski slopes (good money there $$$!)

heheheh adds a whole big truth to LOVE THY NEIGHBOR!!!
hope ya got some shuteye!

I was out on a jobsite, a new house in the wealthy part of town. I sat in the driveway waiting to get my service truck up by the generator I was needing to work on. I watched as this guy from a local supply company tried to get his F550 out of the mud and muck near the house, a place I had seen earlier and knew I did not want to take my truck there. They shoveled gravel under the wheels for about 20 minutes and finally got it out. He pulled up the driveway and started to back down into the muck......again!! It was one of those extra-extra long wheelbase ford full of a/c duct work and other stuff. They wanted to get it over by the garage to unload. So he backed back into the muck and got in stuck again. This time the mud up pretty high and you could just see the hub on the axle. They worked at it, trying to get it out again. So I went to one of the guys on the site and said, " I'll just come back later".

He told me that he had pulled the guy out once with his Chevy 4x4 and has since gotten stuck in the same place twice after. As I backed out the driveway they were unloading it, I guess to try and get some weight off and then they went back to getting it unstuck. I know that pig F550 of mine is useless in any type of mud. I wonder why these places, knowing where these, us service guys have to go don't get 4 wheel drive trucks? I'll ask for one in about 7 years when this truck I have now is worn out, hopefully dodge will have their 4500/5500 trucks by then!!
