looking for a new dog.

we had to have the old girl put down last night. we are in the market for a new one. there aren't any re-pet clinics around these parts yet.
we are looking for either a "blue heeler" or a "shiba inu". ofcourse it would need to be within a reasonable driving distance from vancouver, wa. puppy prefered or an adult if trained.

There are more if you search blue healer rescue. We have a lady local here that does this for healers too, but kind of far. If you don't have luck soon, I can get her number from my sister. She may have contacts out west.

Hate to hear that about you dog....

I like blue heelers but look at a Blue Lacy too. They are cool looking dogs and not too many people know about them. This will be my next dog.

Sorry about the loss of your dog. Blue healers are great dogs, we had one that got killed a year or so ago.
Another breed of dog to look at is a black mouth cur. Great dogs.

These dogs are the best! Mine almost understand complete sentences and can get drinks from the refridge for me. Hope you find a new best friend there!

Sorry to hear about losing your friend.
My avatar will tell you what my preference would be. Better pic in photo section.
Get a handle on that cattle dog early, lots of room, and socializing, and you won't find a smarter, more loyal ,best friend.
Her name is Mouse, but don't let the name fool you, she's 34lbs with the heart of a lion.
Neighbor has a Sheba Inu. He's not trained, so it's hard to figure out what he's all about.

Sorry to hear about your loss its always hard to lose one, I personally reccomend heelers, I have 2 red heelers and they are just the best I've ever had, they listen, they are great around kids, love to ride in the truck, all around just the best you could ask for. All of my 5 dogs are strays that I either got from the humane society or found along the road, I actually picked one up down at school from a dodge dealership, I have class right across a busy highway from the dealership and saw her running around one day, it was cold, rainy, and miserable. Then to top it all off a couple of the guys at the dodge dealership who were washing a car outside were spraying at her with the pressure washer, I walked over, picked her up and put her in the truck, took her to the vet to get shots and shes been a great dog from day 1
