The look..
The look..
How many of yall lay on the pedal and roll some black smoke out the exhaust or stacks and the unknowing of diesels give you this look of like "what is wrong with that truck" Or "is it ready to blow up" look. I get it every day all day when i lay on the pedal.
The windows rolling up at a stop, common. Weird looks, I get that all the time while I'm not in the truck
but the best is idling through a busy parking lot and setting off 2 or 3 car alarms with a stock exhaust

I believe the best is when you have some preppy individual driving a white lexus or BMW looking at me like I am below them because I drive a diesel truck...But when the red light turns to green and my soot goes all over the side of their vehicle...3.59 a gallon...black soot on the side of someone's car who thinks that they are better than me...priceless!!!

I had some turd in front of me coming back on the sea to sky highway a couple weeks ago. I was driving the company van all covered in decals. Any way, this clown kept smoking me out!
I have my own diesel, I enjoy the smell of it once in a while but it gets OLD really fast when some turd goes slow..... Then steps on it filling the van full of smoke, goes slow.... Then steps on it filling the van with smoke, goes slow.... then steps on it filling the van with smoke.... keep repeating for the half hour I was following him (two lane road under construction "captive" audience as there was NO where to pass...)
Any way, be mindful of who you smoke and how often you do it. It really isn't any fun driving behind something that's gassing you....

I know the feeling of the smoke getting blown all over,I was stuck in traffic in My GTI with a sun roof and this SOB kept blowing soot all over my car
Needless to say when the light went green I left him choking on his own soot.

i got stuck behind a mega cab yesterday (pack mule on here) and hes got a single stack and quite a bit done to his truck i'd say. It was the first time anybody else blacked out the whole road (that ive experienced) and all i got to say is THAT WAS FREAKIN SWEET!

i get that look all the time. The "black smoke does not mean it's broke" sticker did help a little though
. I found that a good puff of black smoke is the best anti-tailgating deterrent in the world.

Not to hijack, but that clown w/ the F-350 w/ the Cummins lifted 24" laid on the train horns right next to me at a red light about a month ago and dang near blew my left eardrum out. I didn't think that was too cooll.
I don't mind the soot. I still remember when I'd paint a soot line on my model diesel truck trailers when I was a kid.

Remember to thank all those who have to roll smoke for anything and everything next time you cuss about emission inspections and the use of particulate filters on the new diesels.
That Geezer in the Mercedes, or that "Bimbo" in the Beemer you just "Smoked" is probably a voter too, and might be a member, or know someone sitting on the local board that decides local emission policy.......

Youve got a good point. what I love is the fact that my 91 smokes less than most chevies fords, and 'stacked chips only' 3rd gens. The stacks get mroe attention even though they dont actually smoke more.
