Morning.

Saturday the 28th.

In 1830 - "The Tom Thumb" was demonstrated in Baltimore, MD. It was the first passenger-carrying train of its kind to be built in America.

1907 - "American Messenger Company" was started by two teenagers, Jim Casey and Claude Ryan. The companies name was later changed to "United Parcel Service."

1916 - Italy's declaration of war against Germany took effect during World War I.

1939 - The first successful flight of a jet-propelled airplane took place. The plane was a German Heinkel He 178.

1963 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., gave his "I Have a Dream" speech at a civil rights rally in Washington, DC. More than 200,000 people attended.

1981 - John Hinckley, Jr. pled innocent to the charge of attempting to kill U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Hinckley was later acquitted by reason of insanity.

1988 - At an air show in Ramstein, West Germany, an Italian Air Force jet collided with 2 other jets and then plunged into a crowd. 70 people were killed.

1990 - Iraq declared Kuwait to be its 19th province and renamed Kuwait City al-Kadhima.

1995 - The biggest bank in the U.S. was created when Chase Manhattan and Chemical Bank announced their $10 billion deal.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why is it that everyone driving faster than you is considered an idiot and everyone driving slower than you is a moron?

Sanka is on the counter and the microwave works.

So the janitor's a bit gassy this morning?

Might be time to start adding Motrin to the breakfast menu. I could probably stand one myself this morning.

Blake, those other ways of milling are more expensive, but they need to do it like that on hardwoods so the wood will be more stable, i/e less twisting, warping and cracking, also for the figuring sometimes. Price out any hardwood lately?

Morning,

That's ok, Rick. I'll be walking again in two weeks, you'll still be old and funny looking...

Mornin. Got up about 6 this morning, couldn't sleep. Got in the hot tub because the back hurt. Knee does pretty good in there, easy to move it around.

Nothing planned today except a haircut.

Hope everyone has a nice day. REAL coffee is on...

Oh, I want you here too Blaky! PLEEEEEEZE don't talk about leaving, I just couldn't stand it if you weren't here. How would I go on? It would be unbearable torture and depression. Every minute without you would be like I lost a piece of myself. Just adrift in a windstorm with the wind blowing from the wrong direction all the time.
Did I lay it on heavy enough?
<sigh>
