Other than the boys being around, why carry on an empty chamber?



Oh and Tel called me this morning, my CCL finally came in.

 

Because I'm pretty good about keeping track of my surroundings, the glock does not have a mechanical safety, and I have never heard of a gun going off without a round in the chamber.

I'm not too worried in my neighborhood. I'll put one in the pipe if I'm not comfortable.

Don't need not CCL in AZ anymore...

 

I can understand that. A few years of LEO training justs gets one set in his ways I guess.

That, and not many people will rush a gun when it is pulled on them. Presence means a lot.

 

Actually Dept policy didnt allow us to carry 1911's. We had a DAO policy

I always carried my G23 on duty, and my G27 offduty/concealed.

Interesting string of 23's.....

When I graduated from the academy my first day on patrol was Oct 23 (2002). My badge number was 23, driving Unit 23, I carried a Glock 23, and I called 10-8 at exactly 2300 hrs. Not to mention my Bday is the 23rd.

Hey, do you know how long it took me to actually spell those two words? That should count for something.
Little did you know that the ants were going to be the good part of the day.
It probably got dropped off at the ASPCA by mistake and it has your name on it.
I may have to get one next month. Dentist says its a lot of hype, that root canals are not bad. He also said that there is a tooth fairy so I guess I should believe him.
I like them too. If I have one of those Chicken Alfredo's with one of the Garlic chicken's and a Shanghai style shrimp with a few beers it almost fills me up. I can practicaly feel the pounds falling off me.
I still like the idea of a shotgun crutch, but that is the next best thing.
Funny stuff. My re-ocurring number for some years was 21, including the model 21 I carried.
--Got together with some of the retired guys I know today. Seemed like all we talked about after awhile was medical stuff. I am 55 and am the youngster in the crowd. Gotta find a younger group to hang with.
