Sad day indeed.

My Dad meet Carroll a few years ago at his shop in Las Vegas. And Carroll autographed the dash on his Cobra.

Spent the last few days out in the beautiful Texas hill country and got back in this morning to read the news. He was one of those kinds of guys you thought would be around forever. He will be dearly missed by every car nut on the planet....he was world-wide!!

R.I.P. Mr. Shelby.

Does your dad own a Shelby Cobra, or a tribute/kit Cobra? Just curious, I know a couple guys that own the kits but no one that owns a "real" one.

It's a Lone Star Classic replica. He built the car about 10 years ago.

I found some pics....

^^^^Those are soooo cool. I had a customer with an original A/C 427 and he took me for a quick ride in it. Wow, I 'll never forget how that baby pulled!!

Your dad's is a beautiful machine and extra cool that he got Mr. Shelby to sit in and sign it!! Rareform!
