I have a feeling I'm going to look like Snowman trying to get Fred out of the water.

Be carefull and have a way to retreive your Lab, some of them will swim till they are exhausted and then keep going. It can get scary at times.
Cold water saps their energy quicker.


Good luck and get lots of her swimming.

my black lab hates the water. If shes out when I am watering the lawn the will try to tear the door down to get inside

Our big yellow lab can't be pulled out of the water with a chain. Took her on a little fishing trip in our little boat and she spent most of her time swimming around the boat. Swim to the shore, then back to the boat, around the boat, then off out into the lake to investigate a floating leaf, then back to the boat. Repeat 700 times.

Good dog, but she's never coming out on the boat again.

She'd never figure out how to use the trolling motor.

Actually, I have a huge swim step, she just won't get out of the water.
