Knife question
Oh yeah, knives in the vehicle, OOPS. I carry or should I say CARRIED, a very nice (175.00 retail, $125 with my reserve parking sticker at The Gun Rack) twin blade Benchmade. It went missing one day and is still walking about somewhere.
I bought me a CRKT (whatever that stands for) and like it a lot and is about one fourth the cost of the benchmade.

I am not sure if this has been covered yet, but here it goes. A conceled weapons permit will only help you if the weapon is conceled on your person. Now, if it is in your truck, vehicle, etc.. that varies by state. Most states consider your vehicle an extension of your home. Knives: anything that folds open or has a fixed blade, where the blade is over 2.5" is considered a weapon, basically if it is bigger than your palm, it is a weapon. I work at a government site, very secure and I carry my Benchmade Osborne folder with me everytime. Benchmade is the only way to go. American made fellas. CRKT = Columbia River Knife & Tool. I also have a Chris Reeve custom, but she is only for hawg huntin'. I say enjoy your freedom, but don't abuse it.

Okielahomie Law says this about carrying knives:
"It shall be unlawful for any person to carry upon or about his or her person, or in a purse or other container belonging to the person, any pistol, revolver, shotgun or rifle whether loaded or unloaded or any dagger, bowie knife, dirk knife, switchblade knife, spring-type knife, sword cane, knife having a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in the handle of the knife, blackjack, loaded cane, billy, hand chain, metal knuckles, or any other offensive weapon, whether such weapon be concealed or unconcealed, except this section shall not prohibit:"
So if I understand it right, it is basically unlawful to carry a knife that uses one hand to open?
I couldnt find anything about carrying a knife in a vehicle...on to do more searching...

I carry this daily clipped to my right front pocket, on a military installation, and in areas that 'don't exist' without any trouble at all.
I have been asked about it one time in a heavily guarded area, when I said it was a 'tool' they said OK and that was that.

Might get really funny when you try to run through a wall to avoid the gaurds.

If you work at Wally Martino's, you could probably barge right in though the door with that tucked neatly in your pocket (although I would not recommend that, it could be hard on certain parts if you know what I mean). He security dude, relax, it's a tool for opening up several packages at a time.
I carry my 9mm, a Cold steel tonto, and one of those folding knives that uses razor blades. All are concealed, never had a problem. but then again, I have never had my vehicle searched.
