Keeping house plants in the north

and other dark places...
I have been using full spectrum lights in the winter to keep my house plants happy for the months of dark....I live in the shadow of the mountains an get no direct sunlight for 3 months a year...I bought a 90 Watt UFO LED Grow Light to see how it did....I'll tell you what...I have never seen such rapid response...I have new growth 3x norm...My little bonsai Buddhist Pine is shooting out shoots all over, and have grown 2 inches in 2 weeks...And the greens are so vivid...I am seriously considering trying a tomato an a few herbs and a couple lettuce plants for S an G....

Maybe all of those "herb" growers were onto something when they setup rows of them for their "farms".

Dang straight.....wanna see pics of those...
I do have a couple years studying molecular biochemistry and genetics under my belt...

One of the restaurants big expense in winter is fresh herbs an produce...the last few years people have grown for them but with halide lights, which are BIG energy wasters...so to grow for the restaurants in winter made for some really high power bills that ate profits up. The light I have is 90w led with same output as a 450w halide, but is only the spectrum used by plants, not like all the wasted color temp and heat. I want to set up a system for a local eatery, so they can grow their own....
