Jason Boland in Rehab

I know there are a lot of Texas/Red Dirt Music fans on here...

Many of the upcoming JB&S shows have been canceled due to illness... I saw Ragweed on Friday night (awesome show, the seventh time I've seen them, and probally the seccond best show yet.) Cody told us that the reason that the Saturaday show with JB&S and Charlie Robison became The Great Divide and Charlie was that Jason had decided to seek help with his drinking problem.

Just letting you guys know what's up, he has been getting worse, and that was sad to see, but I am glad he is getting help.

That's good to hear. I really like his music and I hope that he gets better.

Sorry couldn't resist...I am glad he is getting help though, he's one of my new favorites.

I knew he was a drinker from my college days....
My junior year we had a big keg party the night of his concert and the cops happen to show up. Long story short they ended up arresting three of my friends and we had to go bail them out of jail the next morning. You would think they would all be bummed, but they werent because Jason Boland had got thrown into jail that night too... said they spent the whole night BS'ing with him. I thought it was quite funny and he even mentioned them on his website.
Gotta love college.

I think it will be a good move for him, personally, and musically. I saw him forget verses of songs and stuff like that the last couple of times I saw him. Rodger Ray had to tell him he forgot almost all of Copperhead Road once. Sang the first verse and skipped straight to "Stay ________ away from Copperhead Road" It was bad. He was having trouble standing up even.

Pearl Snaps is my favorite too...

Ragweed did an AWESOME job covering Proud Souls in support of him on Friday.

Signature600, just noticed where you are from, many fans up there? i feel like I'm way up north where noone has heard of my music...

Lets see, there's me, my uncle, my brother, and two of his buddies. Those are the only ones I know of, but Ragweed did a couple shows in Indiana and Ohio last fall, so there must be at least a couple more!

Sorry you'll miss the show. I have seen him 13 times. I think. The worst one was great.
