Usually all it takes me to know if it is a cummins or not is the exhaust pipe. I am well trained for 2nd and 3rd gens... 2nd with stock have the built in bend at the end of the tail pipe. 3rd gen is just pipe, whereas 3rd gen gassers have what looks like a muffler or resonater right above the rear axle on the tailpipe...

When driving I really try to be curteous to everyone, and if I see what looks like fellow Cummins ahead I will push in the skinny pedal more to find out . As far as other trucks, I kinda like to know if they are diesel or not, and if I pass somone in a newer truck, chances are I will try to puff them a cloud

Wink

Now wait a minute,as much as I like driving the ol 93,for economic reasons I am forced to drive the dreaded mini van quite a bit. It gets better milage, and with diesel being sixty,or seventy cants a gallon more, can we say rip off,it just makes sence. I have yet to figure out why diesel is so much higher than gasoline,I know it cost more to make the new fuel, but from what I've seen it's only about ten cents more. It kinda seems like they are riping us diesel users to give the gassers a break.

I'll admit to noticing other Cummins powered trucks, but I try not to be prejudiced when it comes to extending courtesy.

Rustbuket. i hear ya on the fuel issue. my primary ride is a hybrid, if i drove the truck to & from work it'd kill my wallet. don't get me wrong though, i love the truck-but 17-20mpg compared to 60-85mpg, well you get the idea
