He has a 'clicking' in his drive line when he accelerates from a stop. Gonna check that out today. Then were gonna go to the badlands and shoot. If we are lucky we may even find a Chaikwa fossil or two...

 

Check all the u joints and the half shafts in the front end.

Ya I figured u-joints, Thats where I am gonna start anyway. His right rear tire is wearing on the outside edge so something is goin on under there. Should be interesting. Good thing is he is a city boy so there is not a bunch of mud and crap under the truck to fall in the eyes.

 

Why, or course I wouldnt.. Why on Earth would you say such a thing!

Man I had to wear gargles just to get my back up cam routed the other day. Nothing like a 5lb block of clay to the eye to ruin your day!

 

Well that was easy, broken u joint on the end of the drive shaft. Looks like he's gonna be stickin around for another couple days!!!

Nothing going on here. I havent even been outside today. Guess I will go check the mail so I will feel like I accomplished something.

 

Didn't even get that far. Mud truck died AGAIN just as we got there. Pouring buckets, got 2" of rain in 3 hours, almost didn't get the International out of the field, (took that to the mud run too so if anyone broke something I could help them out). On the way home the International 'bucked' a couple of times, like a gasser will do when it's cold, so now there's something wrong with that pig too. I'm ready to leave the torch burning under the gas tank of the mud truck, get drunk and say the heck with it all!

You've used that line before. Come up with something original next time or don't bother!

Evening Yall

Working on a new lil project. Putting a Double DIN radio in Dads '02. I got the radio to mount in the dash, now working on the finer points of bezel modification. He saw my new Kenwood setup with the dual backup cams and wants one. I think its gonna come out pretty nice... Probably do a write up too for the 2nd gen guys if anyone over there would like the info.
