Morning, coffee and chocolate donuts are ready. Dragon taking the weekend off. Had a busy shift yesterday afternoon. Had a manhunt going involving one of our choppers, 3 dogs and lots of troops. He's in custody this morning. Also had a plane go down in Lake Michigan. Our Dive team helping the Coast Gaurd. LAst I heard, they had made 1 rescue not long after the fact, but still looking for 4. Might have one of the cows turning itself in this morning. The area of the earlier crash is woods and swamps, so not real conducive to a round-up. Still raining with flood advisories. "Get 'R Done!"

Update, cow count is now 2 down, 3 at large yet.

 

Did this one survive the crash. I ask because that seems to be the way folks deal with cows up there. OMG!!! It's a cow, run over it!

 

If you didn't see it, the other day I posted that a cattle truck had rolled on the highway. The day of the crash we had to put down 4 or 5 due to injury. 5 were still at large in the woods, the rest got rounded up. A bread truck took one out on a side road near there the other night. It would be scary, but not uncommon. This is a very large county our post covers and we get reports of loose livestock on the road all the time. A couple particular farms are frequent flyers. This county also has the highest car vs deer average and probably car vs turkey average, except they don't keep stats on turkey damage. Hence, why I keep building heavy bumpers...

Sun is shining this morning after our horrible night of tropical storms. Let's see, sprinkled for about 10 minutes in the night - - at least that is all I heard. Streets are dry this morning. No wind last night. Snuck around another one. No regrets. Trouble is, I now have no excuse for not putting out the last bags of mulch. Rats. Thought I had a day off. She is such a slave driver. She's cute though, so that makes up for it.

My little sister in law took a picture of Aiden and Conners boots. Tel bought a pair for Conner (well when he gets here) and surprised me with em.
