Well, time for another 'duck & cover' maneuver. More bad storms coming. Talk to y'all in the AM... maybe!

Don't use the "duck and cover", pull the "Sheep's wool" over yourself instead!

Working my regular nightshift tonight. Gonna ride out the local thunder storms in the concrete box..... We've had more precipitation this last week that the rest of this year so far.

You are finally getting the stuff I have been fishing in this week. Just a quick check in. Appears you are the only one left awake, which is a good thing since you are working. Oh yeah, speaking of jail!

I suspect that there must be more of us for them to put a cap on the amount on the American side. Hmmm., DTR's Volcano Monitor and Toilet Smuggler. Has a nice ring to it. Should get me some extra cigarettes when I am doing time.

Had a large t-storm last Friday that filled the ditches and over ran the storm drains and put water across the roads. Even dumped some hail.

Morning, in early for some overtime.

I think we're good on rain for awhile. Starting to think this is the west coast... or Panama.

Scott, air getting through that cooler? Bugs or mud trapped in the fins or between the cooler and radiator? Maybe try a little electric fan dedicated to the tranny cooler?

We NEED rain here. Haven't had any for weeks. Even last night didn't get us any more than a tenth of an inch.

It's a separate cooler, brand new, big, with a dedicated fan and shroud mounted right behind the cab.

Morning.

Today is Friday, July 23rd.

On this day in 1715 - The first lighthouse in America was authorized for construction at Little Brewster Island, Massachusetts.

1877 - The first municipal railroad passenger service began in Cincinnati, Ohio.

1904 - The ice cream cone was invented by Charles E. Menches during the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, MO.

1914 - Austria-Hungary issued an ultimatum to Serbia following the killing of Archduke Francis Ferdinand by a Serb assassin. The dispute led to World War I.

1938 - The first federal game preserve was approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The area was 2,000 acres in Utah.

1945 - The first passenger train observation car was placed in service by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad.

1954 - A law is passed that states that "The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to repair, equip, and restore the United States Ship Constitution, as far as may be practicable, to her original appearance, but not for active service, and thereafter to maintain the United States Ship Constitution at Boston, Massachusetts."

1958 - The submarine Nautilus departed from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, under orders to conduct "Operation Sunshine." The mission was to be the first vessel to cross the north pole by ship. The Nautils achieved the goal on August 3, 1958.

1977 - A jury in Washington, DC, convicted 12 Hanafi Muslims of charges stemming from the hostage siege at three buildings the previous March.

1997 - Police in Miami Beach, FL, found the body of Andrew Cunanan. He was the suspected killer of Gianni Versace.

1998 - U.S. scientists at the University of Hawaii turned out more than 50 "carbon-copy" mice, with a cloning technique.

Morning gang,

Been OTT for the last few - - pressure cleaning our tile roof - - not fun in the Florida sun. I am now Rudolph - - wow the schnozze is sore - - and bright. Roof looks good. Two day job. Grandson helped lots - - he is a lot lighter than I am so no broken tile. I did the hard areas and kept him going with snacks, water, pop, more snacks, jokes and harrassment. Did a bunch of retro on the freeze damaged plants while at it - - long enough now to know which ones came back to life and the ones deceased. Replaced a bunch then spread 50 bags (so far) of mulch. Hot - - staying in for a couple days I guess - - storm heading up the Gulf giving us a bunch of rain. Finished our project just in time.

OK, gone. Grabbing a ph00 since big foot, I mean big knee, hasn't made it in yet. Now, catch up on mail and stuff. Have a gudurn and catch me some more salmon, Bark. Just save a few for when I get up there.

Bob

Received over an inch of rain yesterday afternoon and the sky is looking real dark right now. So dark that a few of the street lights have come on.

Bobby, I had the Phoo00 altered and on a timer...been there done that...wear your Depends.

Only one more day of wearing this splint and done with the dressing on the wound. Lookin good now.

It sure is strange how our gov's come up with these regulations...like restrictions on toilet importation. Is there not bigger things for them to be concerned with?

Going to see my daughter in her last day at Vacation Bible School for the play she is in.

Have a great wknd DTRonians.
