Hat- I dealt with the busted cables too. But, the door company only wanted $100 for an inspection, adjustment and new cables so they did it and I took notes for the next time...... Just gotta be careful with the spring.....
I'm gonna need a new door opener sooner or later cause this one has lived a good life already. But it'll wait until I get a new door and then I'll spring for the works! Someday.
Got my grocery shopping mostly done. Need to get a few more things then try for a nap this afternoon. Got called in for some gravy nightshift OT.

I think your work here is already done
.
That is an excellent question
. Never saw that cartoon before and I have several of his books.
Mmmmm, there’s a lot a guy could do with a whole cow.
We do too but you wont find that one at our video place. They shoot bad movies (they also sell guns and ammo).
Yup. I still have a hole in ceiling sheetrock because I was too lazy to get two pieces of pipe that fit the spring.

A better day here. Infection is subsiding...doc cleaned up the incision and dressed it. I clean and dress it every 3 hrs. No elevated white count!
I did not want a set back like another round of surgery. Cautious progress now.

But not here......

X2

Afternoon all. Took the door back to Lowe's and they had 3 more, all the older type. They ordered more, 2 week delivery most likely. Cautiously called the bride to let her know I took the door back. She was OK since the one we got was already 2 years old, NOS. I better not spend the money.

Naaaa. I awready got one. It's right next to your picture you sent me for my birthday.
Rent. Buy. Whatsa diff? You still spent money!
'Preciate the thought Blake! You know I love them kinds of pics!
Yes! Celebrate me!
That whole thought/conversation is just disgusting!
EXCELLENT! See? I told ya not to worry!
Evening all. Getting the mud truck ready to go to one of the 'park parties' we go to in the course of a summer with the ESCAPE trailer. One of the TV station anchor women is supposedly going to drive the thing while they record it. (Film at 11) The whole ordeal oughta be interesting... brakes work but aren't what I'd call 'normal'. Steering is all over the place despite everything being tight and new. Probably because of the 40" rubber I'd guess. It's kinda like driving a boat in a side current. Yesterday, after re-winding one of the winches, it wouldn't start. Ford mechanic says it's because the voltage got below 9 volts and the ECM didn't recognize there was power there. We'll see, but I ain't got good feelings about the whole thing.

However, I don't think that the spring has enough of the weight of the door now, the motor seems to be laboring a little more than usual. Gotta figure that out.
On duty. Ho hum...

Well, I just took the weight off the garage door and took the cable off the door and re-wrapped it. No worries.
