Post Inexpensive Work truck ...

Not mine, and I hope I'm not voilating any rules here with this post.

Sometimes you just need a good work truck, I loooked at this rig tonight, it's straight, in failry good shape, although it has been worked well. There are no indications of a plow being attached, and it did not have a fifth wheel installed. It's at a Dodge dealer, for what it's worth. If anyone is interested in this gas-engined high mileage rig let me know and I'll go drive it Monday.

Arrow Careful ...

I looked again and found that a free autocheck is on the page for this truck. Look at this part:

Below are the historical events for this vehicle listed in chronological order. Any discrepancies will be in bold text.

Soo, from 4/03 to 8/03, this truck went from one title to the next, and went from 50,000 to 213,968 MILES???!!! DOES THIS SEEM ODD TO YOU??

I would now suggest caution to anyone thinking of a truck like this. It is a clear title, but how do you explain this?

Somebody in MI (owner or DMV) screwed up I guess. I can't think of any bad motivation for a discrepancy like that. Now if it had gone the other way, that would be different.

I think the price is high though. The company I work for just sold the Boss' old '96 1500 4x4 with ~270 k for $2500 and it took them 3 months of trying. Looks OK inside and out, runs perfect, drives nice, just a lot of miles. (60 mile commute). He's got a CTD now.

BTW, I grew up in Downers Grove and my Dad still lives there.

That's not a high price... Trucks like mine go for $4,000 all day long out here... Mine was a steal at $3,000 for a 2WD 1990 regular cab with 300,000 miles.

The Cummins is worth a LOT. Best resale value on the road.

ERRATA: Oh, wait, the truck you're talking about is a 5.9 V-8...

In that case I really have no idea...
