I'm not a rich man nor a poor man but I just can't consciously pay $4 a gallon for fuel. $3 was getting rediculous but $4 can't do it.
So no more taking the long way home and no more driving across town to say hi to a buddy I can just talk to over instant messenger or whatever.
I'm actually starting to feel this in my pocket book. Anyone else making an effort to drive less?

yup, i used to put quite a few miles on my truck, driving for no reason but having fun, visiting some buddies, or just enjoying the ride. now, i try to consolidate my trips, and cringe every time i pass a fuel station, and am amazed that the price goes up almost every day!

I dont really worry to much, but then I dont have the truck anymore. I drive this little efficient Jetta. Blah. But even getting 50 mpg it still hurts every other month when I fill up. Its over 50 to fill that little thing, I cant imagine what it would be like filling up my old truck from the fuel light...

blah @ every other month when you have to fill it up ... you'd better duck because some of the guys on here are breaking a benjamin and a fifty to fill their tanks.

I would just about be willing to trade for a Cummins because I hate this car so much. But I dont see this fuel cost going down any time soon so I guess I will hold onto this thing and just try to make it more comfortable.

yep, have not driven the truck farther than 2 miles (works on 2 miles down the road) in 2 weeks. It also needs brakes so that has kinda stopped me also. my 800 dollar beater car i purchased 3 years ago has more than paid its self off.

I went to Orlando this past Saturday and filled up in Deland, Fla. My first over $100.00 tank at $4.29.9 a gallon. I spent $120.00 and still had over one quarter tank showing on the fuel gauge when I filled my tank.
