Bummer but this is a fairly serious update. It can be exploited by someone sending you an HTML-based e-mail message. You don't have to open any attachments or anything stupid like that to kick it off -- it will kick off just by reading and then replying to or forwarding the e-mail. Therefore, you should apply it ASAP. If you are way behind on your updates (which I hope you aren't) then you may have to install Office XP Service Pack 2 first but it will tell you if you do. If you're up to date then this patch installs in seconds.

 

Yet another .vbs blackhole that hackers can exploit at our expense. And to think that someone on this planet is racking up ungodly profits.
