I survived!

Hello everybody!

I finally had my back surgery on Monday and man what an experience!
I've always been blessed with good health and have never even had an I.V. in 37 years until Moday.Needless to say I was scared to death going in but all went very well. ALL of my initial pain is gone and I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel again! Anyway I'm still pretty sore from surgery but it fades alittle every day. I can't wait to be able to drive my truck again,it's gotten a nice long vacation in the garage since all of this started. Can't wait to blow the cobwebs out! Anyway I just had to post this because it feels good to feel good!
Take care and have a great weekend!

good for you bud, don't rush the recovery process so ya don't end up under the knife again any time soon, try not to get dependent on the meds either.

And stay on the exercises they teach you in therapy. You can have a tendency to get lax and - - oooopppssss, here we go again. Ask me how I know. Grrrrr Glad you are doing good.

They haven't given me any type of exercises. I'm suppose to go back in six weeks to see the doctor.I'm guessing he'll start therapy then. They gave me specific directions on how to sit and sleep, plus no lifting over 5 pounds until then. They did tell me I could walk as much as I want that it was a great form of exercise at this point. I'm good with that because I haven't been able to walk in about 10 weeks.
Thanks for the replies!
