I raced a WRX! Last Night

I was just driving home and a couple kids in a WRX are driving along the side of me and kept jumping forward trying to race. Now I know I can't beat him especially since I don't have my new clutch in yet. We approach a highway I have to turn on to get home and he is in front of me once he sees I am going to turn he jumps out so he can get on the highway with me. There are 2 turning lanes Im in the right with a car in front and he is in the left, the turn is a big long sweeping turn to get onto the highway. When the light turns we continue out into the intersection and I can tell he is holding back so we can race once we are straight, I then go from 2nd gear to 4th gear and by the time I catch him I have already completly spooled up and blow past him the look on his face was so funny. I luaghed all the way home!

ever see someone buy a huge boat or motorhome worth a fortune, just to back into something because they just cant drive? alot of people who buy these toys, have no clue what to do with them. this kid sounds like more money than brains.

i see that your sig show a haisley dd clutch. you still need another one? that one isnt holding up?

Nice kill. I am not a huge fan of these WRXes or really their drivers. They all have the loud whiny pipes with obnoxious BOVs. I'd race one on the highway and probably win. 225 lb ft in 3000 lbs or 850 lb ft in 6900 lbs??

you would get your rear end handed to you. i have raced more than a few of them. you need about 400 hp to win.

JD, I love riding my mules too. I used travel some across US on motorcycle and still do a little bit, but I'd rather ride my mules.

My Nephew has one, little thing had me puckered up on some of these tight back roads around my house. It's quite torquey when it builds boost. Almost like it has sticky tires or something the way it holds on.

(I'd rather have a JD's truck though)

Yeah, I've been REAL happy with mine too!
May not sound like much to you guys, but my Acrura RSX type-S is putting out 201 HP out of a 2.0 liter engine. It also redlines at 8100 RPM!! LOL!!

Convert that to HP out of my 5.9 Cummins and you'd be looking at close to 600 HP! (liter for liter). It has no turbo, just naturally aspirated, but it sure feels like it is spooling up when you hit about 4,000 RPM.... Feels like a turbo is kicking in!! LOL!!
