Raced an SRT-4 last night

Last night this guy in a SRT-4 wanted to race because he heard my truck was pretty quick from all my buddies. I wasn't gonna race him cuz I know those cars are quick and I figured I would get beat. But I thought oh well, its just for fun so I did. We lined them up and on about a 1/4 mile stretch and he stayed at my door the whole race. I was pretty proud of the ol' cummins buzzin half dozen.

Thats awesome bud, i always love racing some ole rice burner, or a gasser. i compete at a local mudbog track in Hubert,NC. Noone expects me to do that well, but when im beatin Z's and ferds, there blown away. my extra 2 wheels in the rear really help out. other than a power puck, air, and exhaust, my trucks stock.

He said it was mostly stock except for a cold air intake, and a blow-off valve. After I raced and beat him, my buddy raced him in a 2000 Powerjoke automatic with a 140hp chip, intake, and 4" exhaust and got powersmoked! He always thought he could beat me until now

Srt4

I have owned 2 of the SRT4's and an 04 stock puts down 230hp and 250tq to the wheels. The BOV is a party favor if it was the Mopar. The cold air intake will add a couple of HP but not that much.
These cars run high 13's stock. I have had an 03 and an 04 and I have seen some trucks that would do well in the quarter mile against one but after that see-ya!
Those cars are bullets from a roll and get to 130+ real quick. Great job on the race tho, not calling bs or anything!

my 03 put down 280whp and 320tq slightly modded
my 04 put down 385whp and 426tq 50trim AGP Turbo Kit + tons of other stuff! 93 octane at 22psi!

This guy told me he ran it at the track and it ran a 14.2 in the 1/4. It was some 16 year old kid that just got the car so maybe he didn't know how to drive it very good yet. But either way I didn't get that good of a take-off cuz I had a lot of wheelspin. I think my truck has an open differential. Probably need to get a limited slip or a locker for it.

I feel your pain with the open differential. It really sucks! In my truck, if I floor it before 4th gear, I get wheelspin. If I wait till 4th or 5th, then my clutch slips
