Now you'll have something else for the bird droppings to be directed to instead of the cummins! Just kidding. Can't argue with the numbers.

Got scared for a minute! I was looking for a PSD. We can live with a small gas miser though. Still looks better than the Mazda 626 I drive.

My only comment is retaining to the quality of the car. My sister has a mystique (same as contour) that I just completely overhauled. Any and everything you could imagine going wrong has gone wrong on this car. The windows fall off the tracks, the wiper motor linkages fell apart, both front wheel bearings, all of the brakes, the alternator (which a shop manual lists at a 16 hour job), the starter, PS pump, water pump (oh by the way, the impellar is plastic and it melted away), and balljoints.

Did I mention the car is in immaculate condition? They call it a Mercury Mistake (mechanics). Most mechanics in the area won't tough these things, which is why I did it.

CNG is pretty cool, but I hope your car doesn't have issues like this one did.

yeah your right they do have some weak points...lucky for me I am a tech so I can do it all my self..

they also have PLASTIC timing gears!!! only good for about 40k they they go BOOM...lucky for mr the last owner just put the updated metal gears in it before I bought it.
I plan to just drive it easy and baby it....they are so hot hear in Utah I could turn around sell it in a day or two and make 2-3k on it!!
I am not too worried..but your all right......no matter how much I polish it...it will still be a Ford

The title to this thread stopped me dead in my tracks! THEN i saw who the poster was! AHH!!! DTRs most recent TOM! I thought, how could 53 ****** commit such an abomination? Thankfully you weren't talking about trucks.
I can't argue with your decision. We only work for the money. No point in wasting it at the pump.
