i HATE leaves

Spent the day picking up leaves..... yes, it is that wonderful time of the year again

Went and got myself a box of 55 gallon drum liners and got to work this morning.....

Whoever invented the backpack blower should recieve some sort of medal of honor.

I blew, raked and baged 56 bags of leaves today and they are not even half picked up yet......

By the end of the day, I had the truck and landscape trailer piled with bags.....

Anyone know where I can get a shreader for cheap?!?!?!

Just do what i do , have a few , or 10 beers , and drive around on the lawnmower continuously running over the leaves until there is basically nothing left!

I feel your pain. I hate the leaves I got. My leave blower has a vacuum feature that when it sucks them up, it mulches them.

All the leaves fell off the one tree in the front yard over a month ago.

Since that time, I've still had to rake up 3-4 big bags full each weekend in just the front yard.

I don't hate leaves as much as I hate the neighbors leaves.

Even in California, where leaves generally don't fall off trees, you still get all kinds of foilage stuff flying around whenever the wind blows. And guess what- swimming pools attract the stuff...

I don't have trees in my yard.

That being said,.........I spent two hours last night with my Back-Pack blower moving leaves into piles.......

I have a ten yr. old who you can't pry off of a lawnmower. He's got a little 14.5 hp yard machine with double bagger in the back, he runs around with the deck on the highest setting, it sucks up the leaves, he deposits them back in the woods.
Only two big trees in the yard anyway, life is good.

"Cheap" is a relative term. But I reduced my time to rake 2 acres of leaves from my trees and surrounding woods from 3 weekends to 1 day with a Cyclonerake. For me, the savings in my time made the 'Rake look like a bargain.

I just mulch every 3 days.
It really helps to keep the grass short!!!

WHY do people want to burn at night?
Cover them friday night with a tarp so they stay dry, then uncover them sat AM and light them. Keep a flame going strong, and if needed use the leaf blower to get things HOT. It really helps.
