I wish I had a small enough amount of leaves that I could bag or burn them! There's about 5 acres here and last Saturday we collected 22 manure spreader loads. (it's a 128 bushel spreader) I mowed in long rectangles, blowing all the leaves into the center of the rectangles until they were in a wind-row, then scooped them up with the front end loader. What was left, I used the mowers' vaccuum attachment. The sad part is, we only got 1/2 the yard done before it started to rain, so I still have another day of 'leafin' to do before I can say I'm done. And by the time I get to do it again, I'm sure the whole yard will be covered again by whatever the wind blows around.

Oh well, only gotta do this once a year!

I agree. Nothing like standing around a fire, with a coldbeer.
Ya'll knew that coldbeer IS one word.

I put the bag on my mulching mower and collect all the leaves with my mower. I empty the bag into my 5x10 enclosed trailer.

We aren't allowed to burn leaves here and we can't put them in the trash either. I could haul the leaves to the back of my lot and just let them rot, but that is a lot of work. It is a lot easier to just put them all into the trailer and haul them over to the county compost site.

I usually fill my trailer with leaves twice each fall. Not much compared to some of you guys.

I picked my leaves up this year with my little john deere that has a bagger on it, so much easier then raking them. I FILLEd the truck bed up and then went cruising to my property to dump them...well what was left of them after doing 60 mph on the way there.

depends on the number of trees..... too may trees will not allow the grass to grow if the leaves are not removed from the top.... again, i hate these stoopid things....

Whoever invented the backpack blower should recieve some sort of medal of honor.

I blew, raked and baged 56 bags of leaves today and they are not even half picked up yet......

By the end of the day, I had the truck and landscape trailer piled with bags.....

Anyone know where I can get a shreader for cheap?!?!?!

Yeah I spent the day in the backyard with my backpack blower on. Went through 2 tanks of gas. Gotta wear those ear plugs tho.

It is a great invention, absolutley. If I didn't have it, the job wouldn't get done, period.

I cant figure out why you guys worry about your leaves, grass clippings etc... I dont think any of it hurts anything, or makes a yard look bad at all. Just leave it.
