i bought a new gun today.
I went looking at the gun show this weekend for a deal
and all i found was crap. The rifle that i wanted was about 100$ more at the show
. We have a bass pro shop that has just opened in the area. They had a big grand opening sale. I bought a remington 700 ADL in a .270win. I have another remington(700BDL in a 7MM Ultra MAG) and am really happy with it, i just want something a little easier to shoot. I thought 293$ was not a bad price.

Good price! I have the 700 ADL, black matt finish, in 30-06 and love it. I bought mine from a guy at the horse barns for $400. It was new with the tags still on it and had a Leopold (sp?) 3X9 Gold Ring. His wife found out he bought it and wouldn't let up until he got rid of it.

Nice and bright though, they make a nice scope. I coulld only afford the Bushnell varmit series.

Forgot to mention,
I took mine to a gunsmith and had the trigger pull adjusted, it was pretty tight from the factory, not smooth. Other options are a Timney trigger or do a google search on "remington trigger crisp".

The BDL is a beautiful rifle, but when you're crawling thru the brush trying to get to the top of a ridge in Colorado, I'd be more worried about scratching the stock than I would be about finding game.

i love my BDL i just wanted something that was not so pretty. I also wanted something with a little bit less recoil, the 7mm ultra mag is not that bad but i can only stand to shoot it about 12 times
. So i bought that 700 ADL, hopefull it shoots good.
crobtex, if you paid 400$ for the same rifle with a leupold 3x9 scope i think you got a good deal
