Ok these flippin phone solicitors are going to make me go postal someday!

Ok I have signed all seven phone lines of our business up on the do not call list twice already (Jan 07 & May 07)........don't really know if it works for a business line.

We have an old phone system (SAMSUNG) that rolls each call from line 1(our primary number) to line 7 when multiple calls come in. I will get a phone solicitor call on line one, then two and so on and so on everyday. If we had some type of plug in system that just answered......."Hello thank you for calling ?????? for parts press 1 for service press 2 for bookeeping press 3 for our purchasing and solicitor handling department press 4.....thank you" I think that would create enough of a hurdle to eliminate 95% of all solicitors....especially the computer voice ones.

Does anybody know of an easy inexpensive system/box that can be used on a multiline phone system that does this?

When they push number 4, have a computer generated voice give every single product name, SKU, bar code, part number, etc. Then if they make it through that have them ask if they want 1. English 2. Spanish. If they press 1 put them on hold for 2 hours. If they press 2, say "Sorry, No hablea Espanol"

Play there game.

 

Apparently it is legal for them to call a business even if you are on the list.....I know I get them all the time as well. I just tell them to remove me from their list.
