Indeed we do...It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that each and every post you make on this site conforms with the forum rules.

It is the responsibility of the site moderators to edit or remove offending posts when necessary to conform with forum rules, often this is done without notifying the person who places the offending post.

With an average of over 1200 new posts a day, there is simply not enough time to explain every single edit, to the offending poster. When we only had a couple hundred posts a day around here, it was not an issue.

In your particular case the post is still there, just edited so you can not see it, an explantion why it was done is however visible in it's place.

If you don't want to lose many many posts like begle1 has, then the obvious solution would be to make one's self aware of the rules and post accordingly

You can find the rules by clicking on the link marked "Privacy Statement" at the bottom of any page in the forums. Scroll down about halfway and you'll see them.

Hi. I thought for the random thoughts post, the post seemed to be fairly innocuous and at any rate if I was getting at anyone it would deemed to be Tony Blair and not George Bush.
As I used to say to my teacher many years ago,I`ll pay attention and try harder

It was not about who you were getting at, the post was political in nature and thus belongs on our sister site www.all-politics.net rather than here. We are trying to keep the political stuff off this site as it takes away from what we are trying to accomplish here.

You can go to our sister site and dig all you want at Tony Blair, G.W. Bush or Jacques Chirac and there will be ample replies to keep the discussion captivating

For the love of God, please go to All-Politics and dig at Blair. The site needs bodies.
