A sheer cliff....pretty much, with a train track perched on the side and their not worried about a rock slide or something?? No history of it he says....hmmm, guess there is now! Bet the conductor and engineer were glad to get back up top and change their drawers!! I also thought that news anchor was pretty hot!!

Well that right there is the best compliment you could ever give Pamela's makup and camera crew....
She's a "mature" lady that has spent a lot of years reading the news around here and as far as (news reading) talent goes she is really quite good.

If that had happened in the spring there may have been a much different outcome. That cab would have been submerged in quite a fast flowing river. You can see the waterline on the rocks where it has come to rest.

I drive through Lytton several times a year and pretty much anyone in the western US going to Alaska would be driving the same canyon.

In Boston Bar (approx 20 minutes away) Both CN and CP have crew facilities there.
My best guess is when the guy retired he settled in either Lytton or Boston Bar and came out for the show. As was indicated in the clip, a couple years ago there was a major "slip" in that area. Both lead engines and several cars loaded with lumber plunged into the hole. The fire burned for a couple days.

Unfortunatly CN has not had a good track record when it comes to derailments in the past couple years. There have been quite a few in this province alone.
