Things were going crazy up here, then it went from boom to bust in 2 months. Last year, in a town of 220,000 people there were 450 homes for sale, now this year, there are over 2500 homes for sale and only 3 to 4 a week are selling. Builders are giving back entire streets to the city and wanting their deposit back. Lots of concrete and framers sitting around...

I'm seeing plates from all around the USA down here already. I know the work is here. Contractors asking to see the insurance check to give thier bids. It is going to be a lot warmer here for the next 5 monthes than there. Buy some cheap RV's to sit in a park & make bundles.

Why do they do that, so they can max their profits or to find out if it is worth their time?

Work is picking up around here ATM - our development is underway and some other side jobs in the works.

I hope I can make it through winter this year...

Here in the Atlantic City area in NJ it has slowed down alot. It was going big time around here. Housing is bad, the casinos have alot of plans on the books but are waiting for financing to loosen up. They are also laying people off so they can weather the slow down. We have one casino going from the ground up with two towers that is going to stop the second tower. The light commercial is doing ok.
