How much tranny fluid for Liberty?
Does anyone know how many quarts of tranny fluid a Jeep Liberty holds? I already checked the owners manual and it didn't say , just had engine oil and cooling system capacties.

2005 Jeep Liberty V6 auto (42RLE)

For a complete overhaul, about 17-18 pints. If you are going to just drop the pan, then it is about 4 quarts.

I was going to try disconnecting the line going to the cooler and flushing some extra out. So I should probably pick up about 10 quarts?

10 quarts would be way more than you need. At most, maybe 6-7 quarts. Probably closer to 5-6, but it is always nice to have some extra.

Thanks for the replies. I found some at a local auto store for $4 a quart, which is way better than what the dealer charges.
