How the heck do you catch Geckos?

Have one running loose in the house. Not a big deal, don't mind 'em, they eat the bugs. The wife loves them (as she does all animals). In fact she has even named it and declared it as our pet. I however, would prefer if "Gecky" lived outside where he would have a much better diet of bugs to chose from. Those little buggers are fast, how do you catch 'em?

I used a straight coat hanger with a 2 lb test mono-filament noose on the end that you could slip over the head and pull tight from a distance. You have to move slow and carefully I tried roping em with my lasso and would have gotten the job done but my horse was TOO slow

I was gonna dig a hole through the carpet/concrete and put a bunch of little toothpicks sticking straight up in the bottom and then cover the hole with a sheet of paper, kinda like a tiger trap, but your method sounds much easier

Actually I tried your method and put Curare on the toothpicks for added measure, unfortunately the Grandkid's hamster mysteriously disappeared and I had to remove the traps

This method might work well for cats that pee on your Bar B Que as well

Sounds like you need a live trap for geckos. None of my traps are built with screen door wire cages.

Myself, I usually use the "multi-spear" aka broom. Then again, they're easy to hit when they're frozen after hearing my wife's ear piercing scream when she sees one.

I hear ya there

At my place snakes will raise huge knots on my wife's forehead.... Apparently the mere sight of one will cause her to run headlong into or through any nearby walls

You just need a box and some attractive wallpaper, he'll walk right in.

Switch your car insurance to Allstate. He will then approach you and convince you to try Geico.

Take that opportunity to use the shotgun.

Wow T-Rad, never seen that pattern at Lowes before. Might have to check Home Depot.

Might be on to something there Blake. But if I shot him, there wouldn't be much left to BBQ.

Mmmm Good point.

Okay. Small martini's then. Get him good and drunk and that should slow him down...

Hmm, I like where you are headed with this Blake. But I have an improvement to the plan. My reaction time is much better when I have been drinking. Might give that a shot.
