How do I remove stickers and glue?

Alright, you have all been very good with the answers up until now. Let's see if anybody has an answer to this problem. I have trouble getting stickers off of a enclosed cargo trailer I just bought. The guy before me used it to haul a small race car and had all sorts of racing stickers all over it. I got the stickers themselves off with a hair dryer and a razor, however I am still left with the glue that held the sticker on. I have tried every remedy that I have heard of from WD-40 to goo-gone. Anybody else have a suggestion? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

It's a tough balance between what will take the glue off, and what will take the paint off.

I would try some bug& tar remover (I guess that's pretty much what goo gone is)

Might try Goof Off.

WD-40 has always worked for me.

3m makes a sticker removing wheel. We get them at an autobody repair center. They make stripping anything stuck onby glue easy. The best part is they don't harm the paint underneath.

I second Kemble's suggestion....They are unbelievable.

I tried everything to get the foam and adhesive off, goof off, acetone, chemical sticker remover. Nothing worked, AT ALL.

I think the actual name is the "3M Stripe Wheel". Just make sure you have an 18v or better drill. I used a 14.4 and it tool about 8 battery charges to finish.

We used acetone at the caddy dealer when I was there and worked good.

Great, Thanks for all the help! I don't suppose you could get those wheels from AutoZone or somewhere? We have to do almost all of our shopping via internet and have it delivered UPS (we are really out in the middle of nowhere). I can get a little bit of acetone from work, but I am afraid it might mess up the paint. The trailer is 10 years old, and it is in pretty good shape except for a little paint wear from the sun (southern California).

Thanks again,
Rick

not trying to steal the thread, but how do you remove the dodge emblems from a truck? And the glue that's left behind?
