still t shirt weather up here, lil rain this AM but still went out and stirred the boiler wood, didn't even get wet. my kind of rain.....
chores done, saw killer kitty has bloody swollen paw from apparent wood chunk stuck in paw, now gone. anyone ever wrestle a cat by themselves? I am thinking duct tape....
stay dry Pistol! faxing Ed some Harley sounds and fall foliage in the sun.... cue the lil window fan.
thinking of caulking the interior windows and putting new parts on the Harley skeleton in the barn, still waiting on the tins to be painted.

Good morning fine peoples. VERY SLOOOOOWWW day at work today!!
I've seen molasses move faster than the clock here in the office. Had some good soaking rains yesterday afternoon and evening. High percentages of precip all through next week too. Better give the mower a tune-up on my day off.
Been very pleasant last couple of weeks weather wise. 80's in the afternoons and 60's at night......about to change though. Temps dropping quite a bit mid week.
Life is good.....no complaints. I have my health, my family, and my job. Cheers and think of Bob and family!!

Afternoon everyone! Spent the morning washing and waxing the better half's car. Started cleaning the truck. Like someone else posted, yellow striping paint all over the side. It goes well with heavy coat of grease. Sure will be glad when the road crew gets done. No other way to get to work without running about 5 miles both ways. What a mess. Glad I got plenty of WD.

Hey wooowie, Nice legg tub in here. Mine need a good soak. They are achy from the standing, unpacking stuff, and moving around on this tile and wood floors. Mental note: buy rugs. Between yesterday and today DH and I got most the house unpacked. Nice to have it come around. It'll work wonders for our comfort (and mental stability!) to have our stuff in place and boxes out of here. Will certainly take a few trash/recycling pick up cycles to get it all out of the house.
Our pool guy told me yesterday "no dogs in the pool". That it's like if 40 people got in the pool. And it will mess up the salt and chlorine balance. Should I listen? Will it mess up the pool or does it just make his job harder? We are inclined to deliberately disobey him. Chester is on borrowed time with a cancerous tumor in his nose, has bad hind knees and swimming is the only exercise he can get and still be a normal happy dog with decent QOL. He loves swimming. He's a Lab for crying out loud.
JWBM, poor kitty sounds like s/he got into a mess. Hope it heals up quick.
Yall have a good one.
Oh, thanks for the hot tubbin' tips. I have never had a place with a hot tub or pool. This is my first. DH has lived with a pool before. We only get use of DHs parents place and they always had a pool and hot tub.
Tallguy, we will definitely get the acrylic "glass"ware for outside too.
As for our pool/yacht costs...noted

Good church today and out with a gorgeous blonde for lunch. Nice.
Dogs in the pool???? Our dog has always made use of our pools. However, one should note they should be kept clean. He is right about the probability of adding some things not needed to the balance. However, if you keep the dog clean, let him go have fun. The worst part is if they piddle in the pool. Make sure you work them a bit around the yard before going in the pool - - make sure they piddle.
Off to watch a game - - later.

Got the back of the wood boiler plumbed and wired, got the line to the training room/barn installed and got it thru the wall. All I have to do now is get the house line thru the basement wall, then it's all inside stuff. Oh, and finish the processor. And go to 16 fire safety events between now and the end of the month.
Someone asked last week about smoke alarm and C0 alarm life expectancies and testing. Push the buttons for the testing part, that's about all you can do. If it makes noise, it's assumed it will work. As far as life expectancy goes, 10 years on SA's and about 5 on the C0's, depending on manufacturers. Still not completely sold on the combination units... they tend to have 'issues' and 9 outta 10 get their batteries yanked in frustration.
Glad to see everyone is relatively happy and healthy and still waking up every morning! Still thinking of/praying for B0b & his family, hope you all are too.
Heidi, a cat and duct tape... what could possibly go wrong with this scenario?

Shorts; nice to hear you're starting to settle in. Give Chester a hug for me! (and take a pic to post here!)

Thanks yall. I'm going to let him swim. I'll take the heat. I ain't going to regret it when Chester is no longer around.
Bob, he's pretty clean except for hair. He's an indoor dog and I potty him before getting in. I'll keep the tips in mind, thanks
Here he is now. Don't laugh at his vest!
He swims fine without. The tumor has grown so much that he can't breath out his nose anymore. So the vest helps keep him out of the water so he can breath without choking on water. As it is now, he holds his breath

Wrap the offending feline in it entirely and add a 10" piece of rope on the back like a handle......it looks really cool when you leave it on the neighbors front porch and no doubt adds to the overall effect when the neighbor finds it as well
