Hot and Humid Summer Breakroom 7/16-22

Rise and shine, gang - - nuther week is upon us. Time to go to church, then set our week for all those wonderful things we are going to get done. Put out some banana/pecan pancakes, crisp smoked bacon, orange juice, hot coffee and ph00 and tea. Now, any more excuses for not coming on in and sit a spell?

Me??? Don't bother me - - - I am eating.........................................

Good morning from Paradise where a stupendous day is dawning. Yesterday was a gorgeous day weather wise and so far today looks like it may be even nicer.

Bob, your spread made me think of the saying; "if it tastes good, it is not good for you". Thanks, tucking in and enjoying it.

Is there a law that says if you paint something, flies and sundry bugs will immediately come and commit suicide in the wet paint? Grrrrrrr!!!!

Off to enjoy this wonderful day and later go for lunch and pig out on delicious Mexican food. Almost drooling already.

Ciao.

Mornin Bob, Stan. Came in to check out the coffee situation. Long night, too hot. Even the cat was camped out in front of the fan.
Heading up to the North Slope tomorrow for some aircraft maintenance. Even they have been getting days reaching the upper 60°'s.

Wonder of wonders - - - Shorts was here. Hey gal, how is all going? You should stop in more often - - maybe some of these critters would shape up a bit. ...............................Hope all going well out your way. All settled in? Happy? Fill us in with a "few" details - - be very selective. ha ha

Whole day on the computer digging and learning and trying to figure out what those characters on Wall Street are up to - - just about the time I "know" exactly what to do, someone does something stupid and then I look stupid. Can't win. Think maybe the thought of dumping it on the desk of a manager and say see ya - - make me some money.

OK, no one made coffee so I will at least make a small ph00 pot. ...............................YEP, tastes good.

L8R

edit: Coug - - - please inform us of the horrible hot temperature - - how high was it???????? I can't wait for answer. ha ha

Betcha did not find any bacon - other than the left over smell. Good to see you here again. As Bob said, let us know how things are going in your life and if the dust has finally settled.

Been working hard here at home all day. It's a fantastic day, so have been working outside. Sanded and spray painted a large 4'x 8' table I am making for my wife. Used clear, gloss Polyform (a Mexican urethane) for the final coat. Man, does that stuff stink! I am sure that the fumes must be quite toxic. Only one small fly came to swim in the mixture before it cured. After that needed to reroute a cable for the terrace WiFi repeater. That job was a pain and all high ladder work. It is finished and working.

Going to now try to relax for what is left of the evening.

Ha, a little bit of ph00 left. good. Rinsed the pot, ready for tomorrow.
Been sticky hot here all day. Dew point is in the mid 70's/ Temps to 90. Woolly weather rolling in now, weather radio been beeping every few minutes for an hour now.

Maybe that'll cool it off a bit.

Ya did good - - - pot nice and clean and phresh ph00 is br00ing. Yeh, coffee and hot tea are moving along also. Picked up some sprinkles for Lary and others who wish to indulge...........................

Off to get my day going - - - late start today, but more of a lazy day today. Gotta clean up that garage and make some space for my next project - - think I will pull the action on the grand piano and work it over - - got some bridle straps that are needing replacing and general work over - - then get it back together and tune it. Don't even play it now it sounds so horrible. Makes you cringe. ..................

Me gone.

Hey Shorts! Hope life is treating you good!

Hired a new guy at work. Retired ATP and retired County Deputy! Never saw someone so giddy with a new job. Hope I have that level of enthusiasm when I am his age.

Left a pile of leftover venison kabobs in the fridge. Help yourself.

Deer cicles, someone turn up the fridge again?
Got my planes done, just sitting in the Brooks Camp hotel waiting for my flight. They locked us in while a polar bear was wandering around outside. I was wounder what had the ravens steered up. I was wondering why so many rifles where unloaded from my flight in until I heard the caribou heard was near by. Gotta love Alaska.

Thanks guys. Work, truck and house are good. Doing my summer stuff, a lot of fishing at the coast and lake w the kayak and fun with friends. That's really been the focus.

Hey Shorts! Good to see ya 'round!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but our beloved member 'Old Dog' has passed away. No details as of yet, but I'll report back if/when I know something.

Glad to see the rest of the old crew is still alive and kicking.

Been a while since I visited, very sorry to hear about old dog. I had some good and interesting conversations with him overy the years. I'll put on a few pots of ph00, coffee and tea for everyone tonight. What the hell, I'll put out a cooler of beer too.
